Nelson Chai

Nelson Chai is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Warranty Group. He leads our global efforts to deliver warranty solutions and related benefits to some of the world’s leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers, as well as specialty insurance products and services for financial institutions. 

Nelson has spent his professional career in the financial services industry. Prior to joining The Warranty Group, he spent more than five years at CIT Group, Inc., where he most recently served as President. He also has served as Chief Financial Officer of Merrill Lynch & Co., NYSE Euronext, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, and Archipelago Holdings, the first fully-electronic stock exchange in the United States. 

Nelson serves on the University of Pennsylvania Board of Overseers–School of Arts and Sciences and is a member of the Board of Directors for the US Fund for Unicef and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Nelson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
